Order a Duplicate North Carolina Registration or Change My Address on myNCDMV

Ordering a duplicate vehicle registration card is easier than ever on myNCDMV. You also have the option to change the residential, mailing and vehicle addresses on your existing vehicle registration during this process. After logging in (see Create a Profile on myNCDMV), follow the steps below to order a duplicate vehicle registration:

  1. Select Vehicle Servicesfrom the "Services" drop down menu and click Order a Duplicate Registration, Change Address

  1. Enter your Vehicle Information and click Search

  1. The results of your search will be displayed. Click Yesto proceed.

  1. Confirm your insurance information is correct by clicking Yes, that's right 

  1. Click Add item to cart to proceed to checkout

Note: Click I need to change something to update your address

  1. On the cart notification, click Checkout

  1. Select a payment method and click the blue Pay $--.-- button to complete your payment

After your payment is completed, an email confirmation will be sent. Orders are processed and mailed by the NCDMV and generally ship within 7-14 business days. To confirm your mailing address or check the status of your shipment you can reach the NCDMV team by calling (919) 715-7000 or with this online form.
