Renew a North Carolina Vehicle Registration & Pay Property Tax on myNCDMV

Follow the directions below to renew your vehicle registration on myNCDMV:

1. Log in (see Create a Profile on myNCDMV) and click Renew Registration and Pay Property Taxunder "Vehicle Services"  

  1. Review the renewal checklist and click Yes, let's renew

  1. Enter your Vehicle Information and click Search

  1. The results of your search will be displayed. Click Yesto proceed.

  1. Confirm your insurance information is correct by clicking Yes, that's right 

  1. Review your renewal summary and click Add item to cart

  1. On the cart notification, click Checkout

  1. Select a payment method and click the blue Pay $--.-- button to complete your payment

After your payment is completed, an email confirmation will be sent. Orders are processed and mailed by the NCDMV and generally ship within 7-14 business days. To confirm your mailing address or check the status of your shipment you can reach the NCDMV team by calling (919) 715-7000 or with this online form.
